Monitoring and Testing Advisory Officer- Investment Management Firm-08/05/19

Our client a top investment management firm is looking for a Compliance Monitoring and Testing Advisory Officer to join their team.

Specific Responsibilities:

-Review and stay abreast of, and respectfully challenge all Compliance Risk Assessments for all assessable units throughout Europe and Asia-Pacific regions and contribute updates where necessary.

-Maintain a record of all other Compliance Monitoring activities performed by Compliance colleagues and reconcile against the results of the Compliance Risk Assessments. Make recommendation in regard to where monitoring should be enhanced or undertaken.

– Assist the Head of CTM to design and plan, the Compliance Monitoring & Testing Plan (CMP) that is predicated on the Compliance Risk Assessments.

-Execute all scheduled Compliance tests in a thorough and timely manner. Provide written results all Compliance Testing & Monitoring activities to business partners and other key stakeholders.?

– Coordinate with colleagues in Compliance in regard to the design of monitoring protocols and maintain monitoring inventories, which shall leverage the Risk Assessments.

-Generate metrics and other forms of regular reporting that reflect the state of the Risk Assessment and Monitoring & Testing for a range of local and global governance bodies.

– Fulfil the Issue Escalation and Tracking requirements in broad terms for the Compliance program in Europe and Asia-Pacific regions, and specifically follow-up on status of all action items identified by the Compliance Risk Assessment and Monitoring & Testing program.

Technical Skills & Qualifications Required

-Previous experience in establishing compliance monitoring programme and executing the risk based monitoring/testing across a number of regulated activities for an asset management business.

– Ability to appropriately articulate in compliance monitoring & testing reports the findings and the risk they may pose to the business in both written and verbal communication.

– Strong working knowledge of the asset management business, including products, marketing and distribution matters.

-Some experience with the Germany, Luxembourg, Australia, Singapore, Japan and Hong Kong regulatory requirements would be desirable.Competencies Required

– Strong written and verbal communication skills

-Confidence to interact with all levels of staff including senior management.

-Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to bring value and skills to the table.
