Our client, a fast growing and successful Fintech are looking for an AML oversight officer to join their London team. The firm have plans to build the most advanced data driven intelligence AML platform becoming world-class in the field.
As an oversight officer, you will be mandated with the full oversight of Business AML Department and run a monitoring control framework (in line with the business strategy as defined by the Management), manage any clients or transactions oversight and AML-related matters, implement controls and oversight on operational day-to-day activities in KYC, transaction monitoring or sanctions screening.
Responsibilities
Act as primary point of contact for Business AML operational activities with QA responsibilities and oversight queries concerning clients and transactions
Maintain AML/CTF due diligence process and ongoing oversight program on operational teams
Manage the internal oversight process, including collecting data, identifying improvements, tracking actions to completion
Engage periodic activities teams review to ensure that all operations remain consistent with services delivered
Complete a periodic review of KPIs and KRIs to ensure they remain fit for purpose and within agreed tolerances
Work with cross-functional teams and cross-country teams to help identify issues that require flagging to senior management
Assist operational teams in responding to regulatory queries, on-site visit preparations and follow-on requests for information
Propose updates to Business AML policies and procedures to remediate any gaps with regulatory and other requirements
Support initial and ongoing due diligence with operational teams, aligned with business needs and compliant with the regulations and internal requirements
Prepare necessary reporting highlighting operational risks or gaps identified as appropriate and when required
Support the maintenance and the update of the AML data
Retain and manage documentation to ensure proof of evidence is available for auditors and compliance regulators reviews
Support the Head of Business AML in reporting to the Executive Committee
Contribute to various internal projects to enhance BC services
Candidate Profile
Deep knowledge on applicable AML/KYC regulations and related matters
Fintech experience desirable
5 + years of experience in banking oversight either directly or via an advisory capacity
Analytical and confident with working with figures and statistical data to development AML oversight control framework and reporting
