Our client is a c. $1 Billion AUM Hedge Fund founded in the early 2010’s, specialising in commodity trade finance in emerging markets with a focus on ESG investments. The fund has demonstrated solid growth, due to the advent of Basel III and the reduction of competition from investment banks.

They are seeking a permanent General Counsel to join their London office. This is an exciting time to join the firm, as they’re looking to increase their AUM and bolster their ESG offerings.

The General Counsel will be the sole internal legal counsel and be responsible for all legal and compliance issues within the firm. They will report directly to the CEO and will have the assistance of external counsel when necessary.
