​Our client, a global wealth manager, is looking for an English qualified solicitor to provide legal coverage for its alternative asset management businesses. The firm has a global reach with operations in over 40 countries. Main Duties/Responsibilities of the Role
  • Drafting, reviewing, negotiating and analysing documentation relating to CLO transactions and other private credit transactions.

  • Advising on relevant laws and regulations including, but not limited to MiFID and AIFMD.

  • Day-to-day legal advice regarding portfolio management and investment advisory duties.

  • Developing and structuring solutions to meet legal, regulatory and tax requirements as well as investor demands

  • Managing outside counsel arrangements on complex matters.

Key Skills & Experience
  • English qualified solicitor is essential.

  • 5+ PQE is ideal for this position.

  • Detailed knowledge of European, US and other laws relating to provision of investment advisory services and contractual interpretation.

  • Major law firm and/or in-house legal experience preferably experience with CLO transactions and credit structured product transactions.

  • Prior experience relating to fund formation, leveraged loans and restructurings would be beneficial.

  • A collaborative and engaged team player who is able to demonstrate the highest professional work ethic.
