Our client, a global wealth manager, is looking for an English qualified solicitor to provide legal coverage for its alternative asset management businesses. The firm has a global reach with operations in over 40 countries. Main Duties/Responsibilities of the Role
Drafting, reviewing, negotiating and analysing documentation relating to CLO transactions and other private credit transactions.
Advising on relevant laws and regulations including, but not limited to MiFID and AIFMD.
Day-to-day legal advice regarding portfolio management and investment advisory duties.
Developing and structuring solutions to meet legal, regulatory and tax requirements as well as investor demands
Managing outside counsel arrangements on complex matters.
Key Skills & Experience
English qualified solicitor is essential.
5+ PQE is ideal for this position.
Detailed knowledge of European, US and other laws relating to provision of investment advisory services and contractual interpretation.
Major law firm and/or in-house legal experience preferably experience with CLO transactions and credit structured product transactions.
Prior experience relating to fund formation, leveraged loans and restructurings would be beneficial.
A collaborative and engaged team player who is able to demonstrate the highest professional work ethic.
