Position Overview

As a Private Equity Lawyer, you will play a crucial role in advising fund sponsors, portfolio companies, and management teams throughout the entire lifecycle of private equity funds. You will be involved in a wide range of transactions, including auction and buyout processes, majority and minority investments, bolt-ons, exits, and corporate advisory work. Your expertise and guidance will be instrumental in ensuring the success of these complex and high-value deals.

Responsibilities

  • Advise fund sponsors, portfolio companies, and management teams on all aspects of private equity transactions

  • Conduct due diligence and draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to private equity transactions

  • Provide strategic guidance on deal structuring, risk assessment, and compliance matters

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including investment professionals, financial advisors, and other legal counsel

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in private equity

Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer with a proven track record of UK private equity experience

  • Strong understanding of the legal and regulatory framework governing private equity transactions

  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously and work effectively under pressure

  • Commercially minded with a solution-oriented approach

  • Collaborative team player with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service
