About Luzaan De Wit

Luzaan De Wit is a Recruitment Researcher at Rutherford, a London-based recruitment firm that specialises in compliance, in-house legal and private practice legal recruitment searches for both financial services businesses and top-tier law firms.

Luzaan joins Rutherford after completing her studies at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where she was honoured with being named in the Dean's List of academic achievement. She was also a member of the UTSA women's track and field and cross-country teams. At Rutherford, she specialises in sourcing the best lawyers for mandates for a vast array of clients, ranging from Magic Circle and Silver Circle law firms all the way to boutiques.

In my approach to work, I hold honesty and reliability in high regard, earning trust through my actions. I am passionate about learning and I always seek ways to improve, viewing challenges as chances to grow.

What motivates you at work and in life?

What motivates me is achieving success through tackling challenges, learning continuously, and building strong relationships. I am also driven by the opportunity to make a positive impact and grow professionally.

What is the most unexpected thing you ever did?

The most unexpected thing I ever did was leaving my family and friends in South Africa after school to study and play sports in the United States. It was a bold move that took me far out of my comfort zone into a completely unfamiliar environment where I knew no one, but today I look back and am so grateful that I had this opportunity.
