Sustainability focuses private equity specialists Paine Schwartz Partners has hired a senior top Lawyer from Kirkland & Ellis in New York.
Renata Malavazzi joined the financial services fir this month as general counsel and chief compliance officer.
Malavazzi joined Kirkland in 2011 after two years as an associate at Brazilian law firm Souza, Cescon Avedissian. PSP and SCA work together on transactions in Latin America and PSP is a client of the latter.
Last year PSP raised a $1.4 billion food chain fund.
Malavazzi succeeds Gerald Adler, a former corporate and securities partner at New York’s Friedman Kaplan Seiler & Adelman. Adler left Paine Schwartz earlier this year.
