​The Libra Association has announced that it has hired Sterling Daines as its Chief Compliance Officer.

Daines is currently serving as Managing Director and Global Head of Financial Crime Compliance at Credit Suisse. He will join Libra later this year. Prior to CS, Daines was Deputy Head of Financial Crime at Goldman Sachs. He also spent time with Deloitte and the US Department of Justice.

Beyond his experience at Credit Suisse, Daines has also been MD and Deputy Head of Financial Crime Compliance at Goldman Sachs. He has also worked at Deloitte as part of the Forensic and Dispute Services practice. Daines also consulted for FinCEN and SIFMA in the US.
