Overall lateral recruitment activity in Antitrust & Competition remains active, but with many Partners in Washington DC last week and Easter holidays pending, expect a slight pause for breath mid-April before we see how much the tariff market chaos drives appetite for experienced Associates and proven Partners who can capitalise on the disruption.

Given that some competition lawyers sit between Brussels, Washington, and London and straddle areas like regulation, public policy, government litigation, and global trade, the data contained in our report represents a close approximation. ​Statistics are all explained by page, but where changes are in percentages note that for smaller teams the swings will naturally appear more pronounced. Where attrition is expressed as a percentage it is calculated as the number of leavers over the period divided by the current headcount.
