Mary McNiff has been appointed as Citi’s Chief Compliance Officer. She will be responsible for independent compliance risk management across Citi. McNiff will report to the CEO. Prior to this McNiff was CEO of Citibank, N.A.

Citi N.A. represents approximately 75 percent of Citi’s total assets. These include business activities in 95 countries and territories – including the United States.

Prior to that McNiff was Citi’s Chief Auditor. During this time she was responsible for the Internal Audit function. This included providing an independent assessment of the governance, risk management and control environment.

Meanwhile she will be replaced as CEO by Mike Corbat.
