Our Client
Rutherford have been mandated on a brilliant opportunity by a global proprietary quantitative trader, is currently looking for a Compliance Officer to join its Amsterdam office. The role will be reporting directly into the firm's Global Chief Compliance Officer and will the firm's first Compliance hire in Amsterdam.
Main Duties
Key responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:
Providing ongoing compliance advice to various trading teams
Acting as the main point of contact for the firm with the relevant regulator
Assisting in the development of internal surveillance systems
Monitoring of regulatory developments and succinctly communicating risk/opportunities to relevant groups in the firm
Develop and maintain compliance policies
Assist in perform
Reviewing of alerts generated from the firm's central surveillance function
Maintenance of the firm's compliance monitoring programme
Your Profile
5+ years compliance or legal experience within an exchange, regulator, proprietary trading firm or other relevant financial institution is required
Understanding of European market structure, relevant securities regulations and investment products.
SME expertise with the regulations pertaining to equities and operations
Good knowledge of European Financial Rules and Regulation
Ability to work independently
Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
