Our highly regarded US Client's award-winning Funds & Investment Management team prides itself on being a global leader in delivering exceptional legal services to investment funds, investment managers, investors, and fund financing providers. With a primary focus on private equity, real estate, and infrastructure, their team seamlessly integrates with their Transactional team, and their department's Partners are highly respected within the industry.
They are actively seeking a specialised fund formation lawyer with 4-7 years PQE.
Main Duties
As a Fund Associate, you will play a pivotal role in:
Drafting private investment funds of various sizes and investment strategies, encompassing buyout funds, growth equity funds, middle market funds, infrastructure funds, real estate funds, debt funds, funds-of-funds, secondary funds, special situations funds, and hedge funds.
Establishing investment firms, which includes negotiating investment professionals' transitions from their previous employers. You will also provide guidance on their operation, regulation, and internal governance arrangements, including strategic considerations such as succession planning, monetization options, the admission of new firm partners, and separation matters.
Advising on the acquisition and sale of both minority and majority stakes in fund sponsors, as well as overseeing spinouts of fund businesses and management teams.
Your Profile
To thrive in this role, our client is seeking candidates with highly relevant experience in the private fund structuring space, whether gained in an in-house or private practice setting. A top-tier academic background is essential.
This position demands keen attention to detail, professionalism, adept multitasking, and outstanding organisational, prioritisation, and communication skills. Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to adhere to our internal policies and procedures.
