A leading international law firm, is seeking a Tax Associate to join their dynamic tax team in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified solicitor to take on a pivotal role within a firm known for their global reach and impressive client roster.
Position Overview
As a Tax Associate, you will work as part of a close-knit team on a wide range of challenging domestic and international tax projects. Your work will primarily involve delivering expert tax planning, advisory and transactional support to the firm's clients. You will play a key role in providing clear, commercially-focused advice to clients while also contributing to the development and execution of the firm's business development strategy.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality tax planning, advisory and transactional support on a broad range of domestic and international projects
Deliver clear, commercially-focused tax advice to clients while demonstrating a strong grasp of the underlying business context
Collaborate closely with colleagues across the firm to deliver seamless, integrated services to clients
Contribute to the development and execution of effective business development strategies to drive growth
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
Stay up-to-date with developments in tax legislation and proactively identify new opportunities to support clients
Assist with the development and mentoring of junior team members
Requirements
Qualified solicitor with at least 1-5 years of UK tax experience gained at a top-tier international law firm
Exposure to a mix of tax planning, advisory and transactional work
Excellent technical knowledge of UK tax law coupled with strong commercial acumen
Proactive and adaptable approach with a focus on delivering reliable, responsive and high-quality client service
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues
Enthusiastic team player with a client-centric mindset
Keen interest in business development and a commitment to supporting the growth of the tax practice
Strong academic record with a minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent
