A prominent international law firm, is seeking a talented Private Equity Senior Associate or Counsel to join their thriving London office. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced private equity lawyer to work alongside a distinguished team on a diverse range of complex transactions.

Position Overview

As a Senior Associate or Counsel within the Private Equity team, you will play a crucial role in advising an impressive roster of US, UK, and European private equity firms on a wide variety of transactions. These include venture investments, buy-and-build transactions, mid-market and large leveraged buyouts, and public-to-private deals across sectors such as financial services, real estate, technology, hospitality, and fashion. You will also have the opportunity to advise fund managers on multi-jurisdictional fundraisings.

Responsibilities

  • Advise private equity firms on a broad spectrum of complex transactions

  • Draft, negotiate, and manage transaction documentation

  • Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to ensure seamless deal execution

  • Mentor and guide junior lawyers, fostering their professional development

  • Contribute to business development initiatives and client relationship management

Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer in England & Wales with at least 6 years of post-qualification experience

  • Strong track record in advising mid-market and large-cap private equity firms

  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and transaction management skills

  • Collaborative and proactive approach with the ability to lead and mentor others

  • Commercially driven with a keen interest in business development
