The Role

As a Funds Associate, you will:

  • Advise clients on the structuring, formation, fundraising, and operation of private investment funds across various asset classes

  • Draft and negotiate fund documentation, investment management agreements, and related documents.

  • Provide advice on regulatory and compliance matters impacting investment funds and asset managers.

  • Work closely with partners and senior lawyers on cross-border fund matters.

Requirements

  • Qualified in England & Wales, or Commonwealth qualified with relevant London experience.

  • 3+ PQE, with a strong academic background and training from a highly regarded City firm, Magic/Silver Circle, or peer US firm.

  • Proven track record working on private investment funds and asset management matters.

  • Strong understanding of investment funds, asset management laws, regulatory frameworks, and related transactions.

  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage complex matters and provide commercially focused advice.
