Rutherford have been mandated on an exciting role for a Compliance Officer to join our hedge fund client's London office. The successful candidate will report to the EMEA Head of Compliance. This will be the first hire of the firm’s kind into their London team and presents a unique opportunity to join of the world’s leading hedge funds.
Main Duties
Key responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:
Maintaining and overseeing the firm's policies and practises with regard to the use of expert network platforms, unique survey projects, and ad hoc requests to support the firm's investing staff and larger Compliance team.
Work closely with internal business departments and the third-party companies the firm has partnered with.
Acting as the main point of contact for the research team concerning compliance related queries.
Closely monitor communications and calls between the Research team and investment professionals.
To support the firm's investment team and broader Compliance team.
Handling compliance questions, supervising and advising the investment and non-investment employees, and responding to requests for subject matter expert meetings from expert networks and customised surveys.
Your Profile
1-5 years of relevant experience within Compliance.
Strong understand of the UK regulatory landscape.
Educated to degree level.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently and excel in a high intensity environment.
Proactive and detail-oriented approach to managing multiple responsibilities.
