Position Overview

As a Private Equity Associate, you will play an integral role in the firm's deal teams, leading key workstreams on large transactions and potentially running smaller transactions independently. Your expertise will be instrumental in advising and supporting leading multi-national corporates on complex, high-value matters.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key member of deal teams on transactions, leading crucial workstreams and potentially managing smaller transactions independently

  • Draft legal documents with clarity and precision, leveraging legal knowledge and commercial judgment to provide solutions for clients

  • Foster client relationships and actively participate in business development, thought leadership initiatives, and seeking out new work opportunities

  • Engage in complex, high value matters that often garner attention in the business press

  • Collaborate extensively with clients as part of daily work routines and develop new client contacts

  • Cultivate a multi-disciplinary skill set and client-facing abilities while working alongside market leaders in their respective practice areas

Requirements

  • Strong, relevant M&A transactional experience as a mid-level lawyer, ideally gained at a city firm or a highly regarded overseas common law practice •Outstanding academic history and proven first-rate legal skills

  • Established reputation among existing clients for delivering commercial solutions, excellent transactional and management skills, and being sought out by clients

  • Exceptional communication, analytical abilities, and a high level of commercial awareness

  • Ability to thrive in a team with high professional standards and a flexible, client-friendly approach

  • Significant exposure to collaborating with multi-jurisdictional and multi-disciplinary teams

  • Excellent document drafting skills

  • Demonstrable appetite for business development, client relationship management, and thought leadership
